Camping
Porter's family always does a yearly camp out. They usually go up to Willow Flats for a week and everyone just comes and goes whenever they can camp that week. The girls got to spend some fun time with their cousins and aunts and uncles and grandpa and grandma. Lucky for me we live close by so I never had to spend the night. Easton can and will only sleep in his crib so I went up for the day and came back home to sleep. Porter and the girls slept in the tent. The girls loved it but I don't think Porter got too much sleep. At least that is what he tells me.
Porter took the girls fishing, which they all love to do. I don't know if they caught anything. Of course I didn't go because I don't like fishing.
We also went on a hike to the head of the Cub River. That little hike is always fun and really easy for the girls to do. I was exhausted because I had to carry my chunky baby in the carrier and it was hot. The water that comes out of the mountain is always so cold and tastes so good.

June Update
Rylie played t-ball this month. She did pretty good, especially since she has never played before. They missed a few practices and one game because of the weather. It was fun to watch when I could, most of the time I was entertaining Easton because game times were usually the same time he goes to bed. He was super crusty.
Brynlie has been enjoying summer and loves to have Rylie home to play with. They get along really well for the most part. The girls have new kittens so most of the time Brynlie is out on the back porch playing with the cats. This time the cats are strictly outside. They don't leave the porch much except to escape Brynlie, then they go under the porch.
Easton is now 8 months. He is still not crawling. He will get on his hands and knees but his bum is still on the ground so he kind of looks like a frog. That's about as far as he will get. He wants to move and when he does he usually face plants into the ground. He won't put his hands out to stop himself. He does kind of scoot on his bum to get places. He has a long way to go but hopefully he'll be crawling before he is a year. I looked in the girls baby books and they were crawling and pulling themselves up at 8 months. Maybe boys are slower or maybe it's because he is spoiled and gets carried around all the time so he figures he doesn't need to try. He is super cute and has the funnest personality. He loves to smile and laugh and loves to get into everything that he can reach by scooting. The biggest news of all is he has been sleeping through the night finally. He has been doing this for a little over a month but I didn't want to jinx it by writing about it. Since he has now been doing it regularly I figure I can finally tell everyone. He still has bad nights but not very many.
