4th of July

We had our annual 4th of July party at my mom and dads house . My sister Cindy is up from California this month so we had a big obnoxious party. (Obnoxious because when the kids get together they are very loud and rowdy.) We had a BBQ with chicken and ribs. Yum! Then the kids played and after we did fireworks. My girls were glad that all their cousins were there because they have a lot of fun together. Every year we have had a picture in the little tent and every year it keeps getting fuller.

The kids were so excited about the fireworks. They all had armfuls of them waiting to be lit.

The kids would all go out into the street to give Uncle Justin a firework and when he would light them they would run away screaming.

Whenever I ask my girls to look at me because I am going to take their picture they always give me the wierdest poses. Here are just a couple of the girls poses.

I think this picture of Easton is one of my favorite pictures of him. I had just gotten him in his pajamas and we were ready to go out to watch fireworks and I just happened to take a picture when he was giving his cheesiest grin ever. Look at those teeth! He is such a ham.

Camping

Porter's family always does a yearly camp out. They usually go up to Willow Flats for a week and everyone just comes and goes whenever they can camp that week. The girls got to spend some fun time with their cousins and aunts and uncles and grandpa and grandma. Lucky for me we live close by so I never had to spend the night. Easton can and will only sleep in his crib so I went up for the day and came back home to sleep. Porter and the girls slept in the tent. The girls loved it but I don't think Porter got too much sleep. At least that is what he tells me.

There were a lot of 4 wheeler rides, especially to the flushing toilets. The girls and Porter didn't like to use what Rylie named "the hole". Easton loves to ride the 4 wheeler. He would always fall asleep but as soon as it stopped he would wake up.

Porter took the girls fishing, which they all love to do. I don't know if they caught anything. Of course I didn't go because I don't like fishing.

We also went on a hike to the head of the Cub River. That little hike is always fun and really easy for the girls to do. I was exhausted because I had to carry my chunky baby in the carrier and it was hot. The water that comes out of the mountain is always so cold and tastes so good.

They always have tons of things for the grand kids to do while camping. So the girls got to do some crafts and then they did some face painting. They looked so cute as puppies. As you can see on Rylie's cheek it says I love Jacob. As in the Jacob from Twilight. She and Brynlie are still very much into the Twilight series.

June Update

Rylie played t-ball this month. She did pretty good, especially since she has never played before. They missed a few practices and one game because of the weather. It was fun to watch when I could, most of the time I was entertaining Easton because game times were usually the same time he goes to bed. He was super crusty.Brynlie has been enjoying summer and loves to have Rylie home to play with. They get along really well for the most part. The girls have new kittens so most of the time Brynlie is out on the back porch playing with the cats. This time the cats are strictly outside. They don't leave the porch much except to escape Brynlie, then they go under the porch.Easton is now 8 months. He is still not crawling. He will get on his hands and knees but his bum is still on the ground so he kind of looks like a frog. That's about as far as he will get. He wants to move and when he does he usually face plants into the ground. He won't put his hands out to stop himself. He does kind of scoot on his bum to get places. He has a long way to go but hopefully he'll be crawling before he is a year. I looked in the girls baby books and they were crawling and pulling themselves up at 8 months. Maybe boys are slower or maybe it's because he is spoiled and gets carried around all the time so he figures he doesn't need to try. He is super cute and has the funnest personality. He loves to smile and laugh and loves to get into everything that he can reach by scooting. The biggest news of all is he has been sleeping through the night finally. He has been doing this for a little over a month but I didn't want to jinx it by writing about it. Since he has now been doing it regularly I figure I can finally tell everyone. He still has bad nights but not very many.

It seems that in my updates I type so much about Easton and not the girls but he is really the only one that is changing.
