Life with Easton at 4 months

Easton is 4 months. I love my baby, he is the cutest, sweetest thing. He does make things hard. In my last post I mentioned how little he sleeps, well things haven't changed much. He is really inconsistant with how he sleeps. Most nights I still only get 4 hours of sleep but once in a while he'll sleep like 6 hours in a row and completely surprise me and I have to keep checking on him to make sure he is alive. He did this for 3 nights in a row and I was beginning to think he was finally getting the hang of sleeping, but no, he was just teasing me. After that he was back to waking up every hour or so. I've tried letting him cry himself to sleep but he screamed for hours. Most babies fall asleep sooner or later but not Easton. As soon as I picked him up he was out. Then I laid him back down and within the hour he was awake and crying. It's hard to just let him cry because he wakes up the girls. Sometimes I just hold him and fall asleep in the rocking chair. I know that is probably making things worse but I'm exhausted. When he gets up for the day he is the cutest little guy. He'll give me the biggest smile and kick and wave his arms. He is usually the best first thing in the morning. I can put him under one of his toys and he'll play for half an hour. He loves to eat and is getting chunky. He doesn't like to nap( big surprise). He likes to be held and bounced and walked around. My house is a mess because I don't have a lot of free time to clean and when Easton goes down for the night I usually want to sit and do nothing.

The other day I had a genius idea. I don't know why I never thought of this before. I got our stroller out and washed the wheels and then had Brynlie push Easton all over the house. He loved it, the only time he fussed was when she stopped. I had time to actually clean the house. He eventually fell asleep, so I just left him in the stroller and he slept for 20 minutes.

The girls love their brother and are big helpers. Last Saturday I was trying to dry my hair and Easton was fussy so Rylie came and got him from me and put him in his bassinet, which I haven't had time to put away, and played with him so I could finish getting ready.

Life with Easton is definitly busy and tiring, but I love it and it can only get better, I hope.

What a cutie! You poor thing! I don't know how you do it day after day with no sleep...Somehow they are worth it, huh? Good luck!

What an adorable little guy! You need to post more pictures of him. I can't believe he is four months already! And I can't believe you aren't getting sleep. I totally feel for you, not being able to get things done. Only it was opposite with Nixon. The first six months he was a perfect angel. After that he wanted to be held all the time and he still does and he is 18 months! So hopefully Easton will be opposite of Nixon! By the way, your girls haircuts are adorable!
